We Give Thanks For Religious Freedom

Let us lift up our thoughts and prayers.
All that is holy, loving and true:
We give thanks for religious freedom,
for the capacity to think for ourselves.
We give thanks for religious freedom,
for the capacity to decide what we believe.
We give thanks for religious freedom,
for the capacity to be our own theologians.
We give thanks for religious freedom,
for the capacity to forge our own spiritual journey.
We give thanks for religious freedom,
for the capacity to respect the spiritual journey of others.
Now and forevermore:
